Battalion, Sixty-Ninth Armor, deploying the battalion to Ramadi, Iraq
where they were instrumental in the Battle for Ramadi and served as an
example of the “Surge” counterinsurgency tactics that ultimately
defeated al Qaeda in Iraq.
